Will my DVD play in my Player ?

Unfortunately there is no guarantee of this. There are currently two DVD

formats DVD- and DVD+, with the DVD- being compatible with a

larger number of players on the market.

I will create your DVD on a DVD- as this is the most compatible

 however if you know that there are problems I can also record on DVD+.

However even if your DVD plays on your DVD then there is no Guarantee

that it will play on your family or  friend's player.

To explain why commercial DVD's are compatible. These discs are produced

from glass masters and have double the capacity of the individually

recorded discs. Our discs are "burnt" on recorders similar to the more

familiar CD-R recorders.

Up to two hours of video can fit on a disc, and in theory they

should play on any DVD player. Unfortunately they sometimes don't, and

pre 2000 DVD players seem to create the most problems.
